Wise Mind is a concept from DBT created by Marsha Linehan. It is the combination of using your emotional mind and rational mind. If you are disconnected from either, your feelings and actions with not be aligned with your true intentions. For example: If you are preoccupied with your feelings you may miss deadlines for school or work. On the other hand--If you are disconnected from your feelings, you may have pent up feelings that come out in unexpected ways.

Wise Mind is not 50-50. It is about honoring your feelings and logical goals through your actions.

My Strengths
Maintenance Therapy

Maintenance therapy is about ongoing care—checking in with yourself, staying grounded, and preventing old patterns from returning. It’s a space to reflect, refresh, and nurture your mental health so you can continue growing between sessions.

Substance Use

I’ve walked alongside individuals at every stage of recovery. Whether you’re seeking to begin your path or maintain it, I support you with compassion, honesty, and respect for the courage it takes to keep going.

Big Emotions

Strong emotions can feel overwhelming, confusing, or even frightening—but they are also gateways to understanding ourselves more deeply. Together, we can create space to explore, regulate, and make peace with what you feel.

Expressive Arts

Expressive arts in therapy invites creativity, movement, and imagination into the healing process. Through art, writing, music, or other forms of expression, we can access emotions and insights that words alone may not reach.

Cultural Backgrounds

Our cultural roots shape who we are and how we navigate the world. I honor each person’s background and work to understand how culture, heritage, and identity influence your journey toward healing.

Trauma

Trauma lives in the body, mind, and heart. In my work, I create a safe, compassionate space to explore and process those experiences—helping you reclaim your sense of safety, power, and wholeness.

About

I believe therapy works best when there is honesty, openness, and authenticity. You don’t need to share the same life story as your therapist, but you do need to feel seen, respected, and safe. I hope to offer a space where you can bring your whole self—with all of your questions, struggles, and strengths—and know you will be met with care.

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, to Cuban and Filipino families. Growing up between cultures shaped my sense of identity and taught me what it feels like to belong and not belong at the same time. I identify as Queer, and I understand the delicate navigation of LGBTQ identity within family, faith, and culture. My own journey has been shaped by chronic health challenges, and I know how hard it can be to hold onto hope when your body feels limited.

From my teens, I have been drawn to social justice—advocating for fairness, dignity, and belonging. That passion led me to study social work, and it continues to shape how I approach therapy. I have walked alongside people through deep struggle—supporting those in addiction recovery, helping families navigate illness, guiding college students as they step into independence, and sitting with those who are learning to love themselves despite pain and doubt.

I’ve seen the courage it takes to keep trying for recovery, to walk back into detox, to lean into recovery despite its messiness. I’ve learned that healing is rarely linear and that true change comes from patience, community, and compassion. My work has helped me find my own higher power and believe that building a community aids in recovery. These experiences—professional, personal, and cultural—are woven into how I practice today.

Now, I live in Mexico, a choice born of personal growth and a search for stability amid political uncertainty in the U.S. It is part of my own journey toward a life lived with intention, grounded in connection and authenticity. My goal as a therapist is simple: to offer a space where you are truly seen, where your story matters, and where you can step into the fullest expression of who you are.
